NEODE SYSTEMS awarded its first contract by the French Army

Less than 18 months after its creation, Neode Systems has been awarded its first contract by France’s Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA) on behalf of the French Army. The contract aims to test Ground Warden and enhance the beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) firing capabilities of the AKERON MP missile.

The project includes demonstration firings scheduled by the end of 2025, allowing the armed forces to quickly evaluate Ground Warden. It marks a key milestone in the development of an agile evolution mechanism for the AKERON MP system, helping the French Army to maintain the initiative against emerging threats.

Eric Béranger, CEO of MBDA, stated:
“Neode Systems is further proof of MBDA’s agility and our ability to innovate, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence applied to product optimization. I have full confidence in Neode Systems’ team to deliver quickly and effectively the technologies needed by the French Army and all our customers to face new operational threats.”

Laurent Duport, CEO of Neode Systems, added:
“This first contract confirms the relevance of Neode Systems’ innovative model, combining short-cycle agile development with continuous end-user involvement, and disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence. Neode Systems provides the armed forces with an unprecedented level of responsiveness in the defense sector, actively supporting the transformation of the entire ecosystem.”
